ROSALINE The following week went well. At least, maybe I should say better than I expected then. Alexei actually listened to me and didn't do much heavy work that could cause damages to his wound. He also granted me my request for more nutrients for my mother. I could now say that were closer to becoming friends. But my attraction towards him didn't wither one bit. And it was choking and frustrating. Today I was busy sweeping the floor of the living room when someone walked in. "Good afternoon, Rose!"

I went back to my room, and just then, the doorbell rang. Mary went to answer it, and after a moment, she returned, beaming as she held a massive bouquet of roses. "Miss White, look! Someone sent you flowers!" The roses were a stunning blend of soft pink and white—Swedish Queen Roses, full and luxurious. I recognized the name because I had been seeing videos about these expensive and extravagant roses lately. Circling around the bouquet, I estimated there were at least fifty or sixty blooms. Mary grinned. "See? Mr. Wynn really cares about you. He hasn’t even arrived yet, but the roses are already here."

Quite suddenly, I remember a very specific, very rare variety of rose that only opens its flowers at night, one of Angeline’s favorites. Curious, I start to look for that flower, wondering if I can still find my way to its particularly hidden little alcove. I do my best to follow my nose and feel a little thrill when I stumble into their sweet little alcove, where the white roses climb up both the walls and the sides of the stone fountain at its center. Jeffrey rushed home with the last glimmer of hope and finally panicked completely when he saw the dark and empty house. The rose in the greenhouse had the courage to escape. No one could accept it. Grabbing her bags from the back and pushing her to walk towards the apartment. She stayed quiet as I opened my door and put her bags on the ground. She looked around and smiled. "It's such a modern apartment. So pretty" I lean on the wall after locking the front door and put my hands in my pockets. "Oh! Alex, isn't this the swan figure I gifted you years ago?" she asked grabbing the white swan from near the TV table. I hummed staring at her. Lily had grown to look such a beauty, It angered me to think she was so close to being snatched away from me and married off to a fucking asshole.

Alice whispered, holding the hat like a crown. My chest ached. I gripped the cake tighter. That's when Rosa approached Alice with a different package. Rectangular, wrapped in kraft paper, tied with a red satin ribbon. "This one…" Rosa's voice faltered. "This one is mine." Alice opened the gift carefully, as if unraveling a secret. It was a frame. Hand-embroidered. Two small hearts, side by side, intertwined with delicate blue and pink thread. Above them, a cherry blossom branch—which I recognized immediately—and a pine bough dusted with snow.

I climbed up my blankets and set the laptop on the bed. I laid on my side and turned on the movie. Halfway through the romance movie I fell asleep too I began to have a dream. *I was standing in a room I had never been in, I looked around when I noticed a mirror. I walked up to the mirror and looked at myself, I was wearing a beautiful white dress. I look at the dress more closely, it's a wedding dress. I see a veil on my head and a weird look ring on my left ring finger. As I stood there confused at the outfit I was wearing I heard a knock on the door. I turned to look at the door I was just staring a few minutes ago, I waited before I could move the door busts up and in come Tate and Skye.

"Also, dig those black roses out, root and all. The very sight of them irritates me!" - Thirty minutes later, Alfie rushed into the study, clearly panicking. "Mr. Garnett! We've searched the whole villa, but there's no sign of Ms. Smith! But… But…" John clicked his tongue, pursing his lips as he narrowed his eyes sharply. "But, what? Speak properly!" Alfie took a deep breath, and did his best to finish his sentence. "We found Ms. Smith's clothes and phone in the soil beneath the black roses… along with a human skeleton!"

Alice watched in surprise as Cynthia blushed with excited as the masked man fixed the white rose to her hair after she nodded. The people around stopped dancing and watched as their new princess gets proposed to, Cynthia turned purposely to stare at Alice and their eyes meet, she smirked at her and turned back to face the king and the man in blue cloth. Alice knew exactly what the white rose mean. It was a tradition in the whole of glitz planet for maidens to recieve rose gifts from their suitors as proposal.

Enough to fill the space with color and scent, the deep red catching against the dim light of the bar. They moved straight to the counter. “Delivery for Rose Rainer,” the first one said. “Can you sign?” Rose stared at them for half a second. “Yeah. That’s me.” She signed. “Where do you want them?” She glanced at the growing mass of roses, then gave a small shake of her head. “Anywhere they fit.” A card was placed in her hand. She opened it. Wild Rose. See you tonight. K. Vivian let out a sound somewhere between a squeal and a gasp.
