**Cathy's POV**

"Taking your suppressants regularly will make your heat gentler when it finally arrives."

My mother had lied to me. I've been taking the bitter suppressants since I got my first menstrual flow and yet, when my heat finally arrived, it wasn't gentle.

It hit me like a physical blow on the night of my nineteenth birthday.

I couldn't stop squirming on my bed, the cool cotton sheets did nothing to stop the burning around my abdomen.

"Little one?" Soft knocks came on my door.

Even through the thick haze of desire, I recognized the voice—and scent instantly.

Logan. My big step-brother.

I was too weak to open the door and fly into his arms like I usually did whenever he returned from work and came in search of me.

Thankfully, he pushed open the door himself. And that was the beginning of my doom. Of our doom.

Logan stood in the doorway, his huge frame completely filling the space.

His white shirt was unbuttoned at the collar, revealing the thick muscles of his throat, and his chest rose and fell in ragged breaths. His eyes were dark, glowing with a faint, amber luminescence.

I moaned, unable to stop the treacherous sound as the sight of my step-brother worsened the relentless throbs in my pussy.

I couldn't take it anymore. He was making things so much worse.

His Alpha woodsy scent was suffocating, like a string tied around my neck, drawing out my last breath.

Logan took a single step into the room, his nostrils flaring as he took in the sight of me. I was writhing on the bed, completely vulnerable in nothing but my white lace bra and panties, which were already ruined and soaked through.

"You're in heat, little one," Logan said it like he was amazed, his eyes tracking the curve of my hip and the dampness staining my underwear. He swallowed hard, shutting his eyes for a second as if to collect his senses.

"You need to stay calm. I'll... I'll call the pack doctor. They have suppressants."

"No!" I cried out, my body quaking with feverish want. The thought of anyone else near me made my wolf snarl. I didn't want medicine. I wanted him.

"Please, Logan," I begged, hot tears of frustration streaming from the corners of my eyes. I rolled onto my back, unconsciously parting my legs to invite him in.

He couldn't help himself; he had to look. And as if I hadn't tempted him enough, I whispered in a baby voice,

"Don't leave me, big brother. It hurts so bad. Touch me. Please, just touch your baby sister."

I saw the moment Logan’s composure snapped.

He grunted like a beast and slammed the bedroom door shut, making me shriek in shock.

He glared at me as he crossed the room in two long strides and knelt on the edge of the mattress, the bed dipping under his massive weight.

"You want me to touch you, little one?" He gritted, a vein popping in his left temple.

"Uh-huh," I nodded, rolling my hips, more slick leaking out of my pussy. "I want you. Please don't say no. There's no one else to help me,"

My wolf was in charge now. She was intent on getting Logan to mate with us. And I couldn't stop her. Instead, I encouraged the abominable request.

Logan's handsome face twitched. He blew a big, hot breath as he reached out—his large, calloused hand was trembling. He pressed his palm against my flushed cheek, and a low, vibrating purr tore from my chest.

"You have no idea what you're asking for, Cathy," He whispered, his thumb wiping away a tear before tilting my face up to his. His scent—rich mahogany, leather, and smoke—flooded my senses, making my mouth water.

"If I stay in this room, I'm not acting as your brother. If I touch you, I'm taking you. And I won't be able to stop."

I peeked up into his amber eyes, my heart pounding a frantic rhythm. I didn't care about the rules of the pack. Or the laws against fucking your step brother. All I knew was the wicked ache between my thighs and the certainty that he was the only man who could stop it.

I reached up, wrapping my hands around his thick wrists, pulling his hand down from my face and pressing it directly over my heated mound.

The word Alpha tore the last of Logan’s restraint to shreds. With a low, possessive growl, he leaned down, pinning me to the mattress beneath the overwhelming weight of his body.
