AKIRA!! AKIRA!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU AKIRA?" Rayner( the CEO of the Miller Multi business Company and the richest young man across the whole world ) shouted from downstairs for his prison wife as soon as he returned back home from work in the evening.

Akira's heart skipped a beat before hurriedly to downstairs. She just knew today is going to be another torturous night for her. She tried very hard to hide her tears since her tears bring even more anger to Rayner.

" We--welcome home Ra-- Mr Rayner. " Akira stuttered on her words making Rayner more angry.

He just hates her. He hates everything about her. Her hates all her pretending as he thinks. He hates the fact Akira and her ex husband killed his beloved deceased wife. He hates her for what her brother did to his cousin. He fucking raped her . He hates the innocent in her eyes. He hates the fact that she endure all his hatred without a slightest complained.

That's why he married her. To make her pay hundreds times for her crimes. She will live in hell at his hands. He won't physically abuse her, but will emotionally torment her.

" Akira, did you just eat before I came back from work? How dare you touch the fridge when I forbade you from eating today?" Rayner said angrily. He hate it when Akira disobey him.

" I'm sorry Mr Rayner..." Akira just apologize whiles fighting her tears not to come out. The man knew perfectly well that she didn't eat anything the whole day. But here he is, blaming her unnecessary just to punish her.

" Did you just say you are sorry Akira? You fucking disobeyed me when I made clear to you this morning that you can't eat anything until I returned back from work. Now tell me, What should be your punishment?" Rayner sneered angrily.

There it comes. Akira knew this was all what it's about 'PUNISHMENT '. For what crime must she be tortured like this ? For the past ten years since that unfaithful incident, life it's has become a hell for her. The only thing that keeps her living is her son.

"I will stand outside the whole night Mr Rayner. " she knew that's exactly the kind of punishment Rayner wants to give her.

" Fair well then, don't let me see you here in the next one minute. GET OUT!!" Rayner shouted on her.

Akira finally let go her tears which made Rayner more angry.

There's something about her tears that tells Rayner that she's innocent and makes Rayner wants to protect her rather punishing her. His heart hurt whenever he sees her beautiful blue eyes crying. It's makes him want to hug her and coax her.

But then again he will remember his late wife and that kind of feelings he's having towards Akira will turned into a boiling anger.

Akira turned to leave the house and stand outside for her punishment when her son , Tristan came down running with tears in his eyes. The boy had witness how his mother had suffered for the whole past six years whiles they were on the run till she finally got married to Rayner the last three years. Nine solid years Akira never experienced happiness and her 9 years old son had witness it all.

" MOM!!!" Tristan called his mother and hugged her. The sight of the little boy is the only thing that soften Rayner. He doesn't know why but he feels the connection between him and the little boy.

Ever since he married Akira and met the boy, everyone even thought the boy was his son. There are a lots of resemblance between him and the boy. Moreover, the boy somehow resemble his late wife.

For example; the boys hair color and curls is just like Mel, his late wife. the boy is allergic to many foods that's his late wife had similar allergy to such food.

The boy's face and the rest of his body looks exactly like Rayner's childhood. But he knows well enough that his son died with his wife in that tragedy. There's no way Tristan can be his son.

"Tristan, my love. Why are you here? Go back to your room now okay. I will be with you tomorrow morning my love." Akira said whiles kissing her son's face.

Tristan tears overflow knowing that his mother will be standing outside the whole night.

"Mom.... did uncle Ray punish you because you gave me the food from the fridge? " Tristan asked his mother whiles crying.

" No no no my Angel, that's not the case baby. Uncle never punished me sweetie. Just go back to your room okay. You can see me from your window then." Akira said with her uncontrollable tears whiles she hugged her son.

The only thing and the last thing Akira would want is for Tristan to hate his own father Rayner. No one knows the truth about Tristan, and just like Akira promise his late mother Mel, she will continue protecting both Rayner and Tristan from the unknown person in the dark. It's doesn't matter if Rayner and his family has to maltreat her. She would leave when everything is over and the real culprit is caught.

Rayner kept staring at the mother and son.

There's no similarities between them nor any resemblance. Yet the love between them is greater than anything he had ever witness. He has witness Akira going to several extent just for her son.

One thing that puzzled him is that, Akira have been trying her best to get him and Tristan along. He had overheard her warning the little boy that he can never hate Rayner. The voice of Tristan brought him back from his thoughts.

" Uncle... I'm sorry... pl.... please forgive my mother. She....she opened the fridge be...because I told her I was hungry. Please I beg you don't punish my mom!!!"" Tristan cried out loud to the emotionless man in front of him.

As always, Rayner threw his suite and bag aside and picked up Tristan. " Let's go to your room buddy. You can tell me what happened at school today. " Rayner tried avoiding Tristan request. He definitely can't refuse the boy. But today, he's bent on punishing Akira. For some reason he just love Tristan. He went upstairs with the boy looking back at his mom.

A smile crept on Akira's face seeing the father carrying his son in his arms though he had no idea. "Madam Mel... at least I didn't fail you in this one. I know they will get really along when the truth finally comes out." Akira said in her heart before going outside to execute her punishment.

She stood outside from hours to hours. He legs and feet were hurting her badly, but she had to go on. Her stomach grumbled from hunger.

She raised her head and saw her son sitting by his window looking at her like he always does. In that way, Akira would feel less lonely. She smiled at her son and he also returned the smile in a sad way.

Sooner than later, it's started raining heavily. Tristan Panicked seeing his mother all drenched. It's didn't take long for Akira to fell down unconscious.

" MOM!!!!! Tristan shouted when he saw his mother on the floor in the heavy rain. He quickly ran out from his room to knock on Rayner's door.

Rayner never have a piece of mind whenever he punish Akira. His conscience will always be beating him that he's wrong and whatever he's doing is wrong. He will always tossed and pace around in his room whenever Akira is under punishment as if he's punishing himself too.

He was so lost in his thought when he heard the crying voice of Tristan behind his door knocking it hard. He immediately went to the door thinking that something had happened to the boy since his mother is outside under punishment.

" Hey buddy, what's up? Why are you crying? " Rayner crouched down to the height of the boy.

"Mom... my Mom.... She... she collapse Uncle Ray. My mom fell in the rain." Tristan said through his tears.

" Rain?? What rain---" Rayner paused when he finally noticed it's was actually raining. He had been in his deep thought that he failed to notice the sound of the rain.

"SHIT!!!" Rayner cussed and quickly run downstairs. He opened the gate harshly and to his eyes, Akira was laying flat in the rain unconscious.

He immediately crouched down and picked her up in his embrace and send her into his room. He quickly prepared hot water and soaked her in for some minutes before drying her up and placed her on his bed.

He checked her temperature and thankfully it was normal. Rayner kept staring at the woman he had been married to for three good years without any physical contact. Akira was beautiful and pure as a jade. It was so sad she had something to do with the death of his late wife.

"I'm innocent Mr Rayner... I'm innocent Mr Rayner...I didn't Kill Madam Mel..." Akira kept saying that phrase in her sleep while her body tremble.

" Will my mommy be okay Uncle Ray? " Tristan small voice came out.

" Yes buddy. I promise to take care of your mommy tonight. And don't worry, I promise that I won't hurt her. Now you can go back to sleep buddy. " Rayner said calmly to the boy and caressed his cheeks.

"Can I please sleep with my mom on your bed?" Tristan pleaded with him. It's seems the boy can't trust Rayner with his mom.

"Sure buddy. Come here..." Rayner picked the boy up and gently laid him besides his mother on his bed.

Tristan immediately snuggled more into his mother embrace and as if Akira sensed it, She also pulled the boy to herself and wrapped her arms around him as a protection. " My Son". Akira murmured in her sleep.

Rayner just looked at the mother and son on his bed and his heart ached. This would have been the life of him and his beloved deceased wife Mel.

Both him and Mel loved each other. In fact he had been feeling like a betrayer since he had started having feelings for Akira. He thinks his wife will be angry with him from heaven and consider him a cheater. Thus he had to keep distancing himself from Akira.

Looking at Akira innocent face, there's nothing that shows this woman could have killed his wife. But the video of evidence showed how happy Akira smiled when his deceased wife was crying behind her for help.

"WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED TEN YEARS AGO? " he questioned himself whiles palming his face
