Some time ago, there was a very pretty young lady who was always passing by a good looking young man's house on daily basis to do some deliveries for her mother who has a very big and welll known restaurant, that is located in the most populated and descent area of a town called Ogodo. 

Her name is Aaliyah, the only and most pretty and adorable daughter of Mr and Mrs Chin Cheng. Her mother's name is Meiying, which simply means a beautiful flower! And as her name implies, she is just so pretty that most men around would have gone for her if actually she was not married. And that is one of the reasons her restaurant is always flooded with prospective customers every minute of the day... And even her most potential customers who places their orders for her dishes, always want to do so, even if they do not have the need for it at that particular time. They just want to always have a taste of her meals on daily basis.. all because of that special and unique taste her meals give in the mouth when it's eaten. 

Mr and Mrs Chin Cheng are the Managing Directors of the restaurant business, of which Mr Chin-Cheng made his wife the Chief Executive Officer of the business. The business has been ongoing for about two year now since they started it. At first it was a very little inn, established in a very small corner outside of their home, with two or three customers entering for a whole day, but as time went on, and as  the business progresses, more customers began to locate that place due to the taste of their meals. And gradually.. within the first three months, they were able to save up enough money to make it big. 

The couple relocated that little inn from their compound to a more descent, presentable and open place to increase the patronage of their business. With time, they became well known in the whole of that Ogodo town, with lots and lots of prominent customers coming in and out to sit and eat, and while some others go for takeaways. 

Aaliyah accepted to be one of her parents agents who go about from door to door, delivering food to customers in different locations during her holidays from high school, and also her free periods after school. 

On one of the occasions Aaliyah went out to a very quiet environment to deliver food to one of their good customers, who lives by a river side, she met a very unique creature that looked like human, but was quite different from the physical structure of human beings. It looked like a woman, but this one has an extremely beautiful face with a very long hair that was touching the ground when she was seated on a high rock, that if a normal woman should sit on that rock, her hair would not get up to half the height of the rock level. But hers was touching the ground. 

When Aaliyah got to the compound and saw that creature, she drew closer out of curiosity. Then she saw that her skin was glittering and sparkling like the sparkles from a diamond jewelry. She became so scared and so worried that she did not know what to do. She said to herself as fear gripped her right there.. 

"This is a mermaid and not a human!"

Immediately she said that the creature turned with full force and looked at her, and quickly turned back again, looking at the same direction it was looking at when Aaliyah got there. 

Aaliyah quickly ignored her and went to the door of the family she brought food to, delivered it, and she went back again to see if the creature was still there. Unfortunately for her, she could not find her there again.. She became so scared for she knew she heard no sounds coming from the sound of footsteps of any being. 

So she turned around to search for her, and be sure of what she saw. Due to her patience, the creature came out again, but this time, from the water, and appeared behind Aaliyah. And the creature said...

"Now I am here... Do not look for me any further..!"

In shock, Aaliyah turned back with full force, thinking the strange being has come for her. 

She said to Aaliyah..

"I know you... And I have been waiting to see you here."

Aaliyah screamed..

"What...? You kno..w Mee?"

"I actually came here seated, and waiting for you.. because I know you would be coming today to do your delivery to that family" as usual... as she was pointing towards the house that she just delivered some food to. 

Aaliyah was shocked to hear that from her.. as she listened in fear.. while she continued...

"I do not reside here... but in the waters. And I have been coming because of you for I've got a very wonderful price for you, from my mother, to reward you for all your hardwork. You have been so hard working, and that is why my mother asked me to bring you this gift!"   She stretches her hands forward towards Aaliyah, presenting a well packaged gift to her as her price.

Aaliyah appreciated her, and wondered the reason a mermaid would bring a gift to her for the works she has been doing. 

Shortly after, she told her...

"Please do well to make all your requests known to my mother whenever you need anything. And it would be all yours!"

"Thank you" Aaliyah replied.

"Alright then, I have to go now..Bye" the creature said.

Aaliyah could not say BYE to her for she was so confused about all that creature said to her. 

As soon as she left Aaliyah's presence, Aaliyah turned around to see where she was going, but unfortunately, she did not see the direction she took. So she got surprised and while still holding her gift with both hands, she said..

"I just wonder what's in here.. a gift from a mermaid... What could it be..?

She wrapped it around her arms like a treasure, and walked home peacefully. Reaching her house, she opened the gift and saw a very pretty box that looked so expensive. She opened it and saw a highly beautiful jewelry inside. And with excitement, she exclaimed...

"Wowww... This is so so pretty! It must be highly expensive I guess!"
