For the Unloved
I was eighteen years old and believe I'm going through a phase.
I wish I was more certain of myself and my decisions. When I was twelve, I imagined that by the age of eighteen, I'd be the finest version of myself, "in my prime," the best I could be. I assumed I would have graduated from high school and be dancing and teaching ballet to seven-year-old youngsters. I'd be living the life I'd always wanted, confident in myself, and in command of everything in my life.
However, this is not the case. At the age of eighteen, I have a changeable mind and a fickle heart. Everything in the world appears to be fleeting, and nothing is ever as it appears.
