Blinded By The Truth Novels & Stories

There’s only one reason people lie about the state of their life: for the benefit of others. When they say that the truth will set you free, what they mean is that you will be free from the burdening weight of having to conceal who you are. The truth will set you free because you don’t realize that whatever you’re ashamed of, whatever your secrets are, whatever the ugly is, whatever the messy is, becomes the focus. It becomes the thing that holds you hostage, imprisoned from a life in the light.

"Sinetch ba itetch?

“This isn’t over,” mariing sabi niya. “You can throw us out of a house, but you can’t erase the truth.” ***

mahina niyang sagot. Bahaw itong tumawa. Dismayadong umiling. Hinawakan nito ang braso niya. Bumaba si Butch sa kotse. “Because I trusted you so much, Kaye. Ibinigay ko lahat ng tiwala ko. Lahat-lahat ng akin sa’yo. I chose to be blind because I’m so in love with.

And this time, they were fighting it together. The weight of the truth settled over the cabin, a silent, crushing presence that was more powerful than any storm. Julian's hand still hovered over the laptop, the screen a glowing testament to his family’s dark legacy. Leona's hand remained on his arm, a single point of warmth in the cold, shocking reality that had just unfolded. The innocence of the morning was gone, replaced by the grim knowledge that a generational betrayal had just been unveiled.

They're making love on top of the bed.

At may isang taong masyadong kampante. Bago matulog, may message si Vincent. We’re closer. Sinagot ko agad. Closer means dangerous. Isang minuto bago siya mag-reply. That’s where the truth hides.

But I know I will never get to understand him. His principle is solid, he wants the truth and only but the truth. But now I realized, there are different versions of truth. The truth he wants to believe, the things that looks like the truth but are not, and the truth which is the truest. We all believe not with the truth but on what we think is real. He's sitting infront of the round-table and he's been calling a lot of people earlier.
