We arrived just in time at my in-laws house to see Jennie and her parents waiting for us outside. There were multiple bags lined up in the driveway.

"No, Jennie. You can't take all these to college" My wife whined as she got out of the car.

We began to pack the items into the car,  and soon we and to fold the second and third row seats so that we could fit in all the boxes .

The TV was wedged right between the driver and passenger side seats in the front. 

At the end of everything, we had only two vacant seats in the car, the driver's seat and the passenger seat in front. I was already exhausted from all the stress of loading the car, so I offered to go back home using a cab, so that Jennie would take the vacant passenger seat in front.

Ciara objected to this. 

"No, you can't go home, Henry" She said "I'm not sure I can make the ride back from Jennie's college."

"We can't do anything about it." I explained, "There are only two seats available.".

"Well, there's nothing we can do... there's only two seats available," I replied.

"Then, drive Jennie up"

I let out a dry laugh, "Babe, I don't have the energy to make two trips today. I was even hoping I could catch a few hours of nap on our way up."

Jennie's mother stepped in, snapping her fingers. A large grin played on her face as she looked at us. 

"I have a really crazy idea, Henry!" Her eyes twinkled as she spoke, "What if Jennie sat on your laps while Ciara drove, huh? I'm pretty sure that Jennie is not that heavy and you are already part of our family. Would that be okay?"

I swallowed hard, trying to make sense of her request. 

Jennie shot a glance at me, blushing. Then, she turned to her mother, "No...no ..no, Mum. We can't do that"

I had to decide quickly. 

Judging from the smile on Jennie's mother's face, it was obvious she was so proud of herself for coming up with such an idea. 

I cleared my throat, "Yeah, sure. I am totally okay with that. Ciara, what do you think?" I asked my wife. 

Ciara shrugged, "As long as it means you'll be coming with us, that's alright. Just tell me whenever either of you becomes uncomfortable."

Jennie's eyes widened and she threw her hands in the air, "Are you asking me to share a seat with your husband?" She asked her sister. 

"That's the only option left." Her mother cut in with a sharp tone. My palms became sweaty as I watched the scene unfold before me. 

"I would be uncomfortable " Jennie shot back, her voice was louder now. 

"We're already far behind time." Ciara said, "When you get uncomfortable, I'll swap places with Henry and make him drive so we could share the seat instead. 

Jennie sighed, glancing at me, "Okay, then. I might be heavier than you think, Henry. I'll try not to move too much."

That was it. We said our goodbyes to the parents and proceeded to get into the car. 

Ciara got into the driver's seat first and switched on the ignition of the car. 

"I'll go in first." I told Jennie, noticing that with the position of the TV, it completely blocked my view of Ciara, making the space even smaller. I couldn't even see her head from the other side. 

I hurriedly settled in and adjusted the seat, moving it backwards. Jennie watched me without a word, probably realizing how tight it would be.

As she got in, I glanced at her summer dress. It clung more firmly around her figure, causing heat to curl up my spine. I was grateful, knowing that I had ended up with a pair of gym shorts and a loose t-shirt for this trip.

 Jennie raised herself up slightly, attempting to grab her dress and pull it firmly against her rounded butt before settling on my lap.
