I closed my eyes as I stepped out and stood in front of the large gates, a tear slipped out of my eyes as memories flooded through my mind. The intruders were many and their scents were masked so I could barely tell who they were or where they came from. A huge fight had broken out, but the intruders were gaining the upper hand, I caught sight of a group of witches chanting a spell to weaken our wolves and I flew towards them immediately. Not many witches can fly and since they were still on the ground, I was sure that they were not witches of higher rank. Meaning they were no match for me. I secured our pack house to protect the Omegas and the children who couldn't fight then I removed their spell from the wolves.

It was a hard spell to do even for a powerful air witch like her, it was a spell that could take away any living needs of your opponent, for a fire witch it'll take away light in your eyes, hence you'll be temporarily blind for the entire battle, a terra witch, the land below you will swallow your opponent whole, a water witch, it'll take away all your water in your body and use it for an attack that will damage you as well, and for air witches like Lilan, it has the most powerful damage because air is needed by the

I shouted. "Yeah, I did good." She wiggled her hips, after that giving me a high-five. "What kind of book is it?" I grimoire,” my lips tugged downward. Her brown eyes were framed with white. "A grimoire, as in what witches use?" I nodded slowly. "Yeah." "Oh, my God. Shifters are real. Witches are real. That means...aliens are, too. Ah!" Her scream set my nerves on fire, and I growled, grappling her around the shoulders. "Get yourself together, Miss Vargas."

The hybrid held the book open in her hands, chanting in a language I did not understand. The witch unleashed her attack, but this time it ricocheted off the protective shield and flew back at her, making her gasp. The more Elowen spoke, the more energy gathered around us. It’s handwritten and I don’t know who penned the small section, but it reads: ‘Witches, while magical, are still human and weaker than wolves. Phoenix Blood will suppress their abilities long enough to eliminate their threats.’

When you start using magic for ill intentions you can become a dark witch or wizard and it’s very hard to turn back. Elder Wynn goes on about our roots in the magical world and how our town was founded by his father’s father’s father’s father back in the late 1600s when witches were hunted and burned at the stake. We made an alliance with the werewolves to live peacefully without persecution from the human world. The problem is we haven’t changed anything since then it’s as if the entire council is still living in the 17th century.
