Napatingala ako, iminulat ko ang mga mata ko at sinalubong ito ng mga naggagandahang mga bituin sa madilim na langit. Para akong batang paslit na walang magawa kung hindi sumunod, dahil kapag hindi ay malilintikan ako. Para akong isang ibon na pinutulan ng pakpak at pilit na pinapakanta sa loob ng isang gintong hawla. Isang hawla na kahit gaano kaningning ang mga hiyas, nananatili pa ring bilangguan. Hinayaan kong dumaloy ang luha sa malamig kong pisngi. Hinayaan ko ang sarili kong yakapin ako ng lamig habang nakatingala sa mga bituin.

nakatingin siya sa sahig habang patuloy ang pagiyak gusto ko siyang daluhan at patahanin pero kasi kahit ang sarili ko hindi ko mapatahan sa pagiyak. We’re just mesmerizing the stars above. “You know what, I love the stars.” I started the conversation. Isaiah looked at me seriously so I looked in his eyes. “Why?” “Because even they’re far from us, they give shine for our dark nights. Moon is not always visible but the stars always there to keep us bright.” I answered. “You know what when I was young, I always wish to the stars.” I added. Ang gaganda nila... walang tao sa mundo, na hindi nagagandahan ang liwanag ng mga stars. "A penny for your thought, my darling?" tanong ni Mommy at saka lumapit sa'kin. Hinawakan niya ang balikat ko. "Bakit hindi ka pa natutulog?"

But do you know that without darkness, we cannot see how beautiful and magical the stars in the sky? In life, we thought that problems and challenges with break will tear, and will ruin us. But we didn’t know that problems and challenges were actually there for us to experience to teach us for us to learn, and to mold us to be a better person.”
