"Go,table 7,vvip,now!" Mrs. Daisy,walked out of the cold room,handling me a drink to be served.

As I moved towards the kitchen entrance,my coworker,Ria, stood in front of me with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.

"Hey,Amelia.Can I ask for your help,I need you to lend me a hand in carrying something."

"I was assigned to serve"

"Please, I wouldn't take much of your time. In fact,table 7 is empty ,"

I followed her ,as i bent to help her,my phone fell from my pocket and it was ringing.

The caller:Zelda,my younger sister.

I let out a sigh,I already knew why she was calling. But I just started walking here and I have no money.

"A minute,please,"

"Hello,Zel.How is mum doing?"

"The doctor said you haven't deposited anymore this month,they would soon discharge her if we fail to pay" Zelda'sobbed over the phone,I clinched my hands.My mother can't die.

"Amelia?" Ria tapped me,"Are you okay?"

"Yes,I am,"

After helping her place the heavy drink ,I wondered why she was the one doing it when it wasn't her job description.

She thanked me and hurriedly left,I picked up the drink.

Entering the vvip room,I sighted an old woman sitted facing the window;from her side view,she looked beautiful, i walked towards her balancing the tray in her hands.

i politely greeted the old woman who smiled softly.

She served the drink and asked what the woman wanted to order, "I will wait for my grand daughter,dear.I will call for you when she arrives. "

I bowed politely and walked out.

A few minutes later,a young, beautiful girl walked in.

She looked no less than my age,maybe younger by 1 or 2 years.Every eye was on her as she approached me,I immediately felt inferior.

She carried herself with an aura of wealth and authority.

I greeted her which she ignored.

she walked past me as i followed her.

Entering the room,the sight I saw made my heart beat skip.

I and the lady rushed towards the grandma,she lay on the floor gasping for air. The drink which i had served lay an inch away,bottle already broken.Glass shattered.

I screamed for help, and soon,my coworkers entered

They carried her out.

"You! You dare poison my grandma's drink? If anything happens to my grandma,you are done for!" The lady barked out in tears as I stepped backward.

"I didn't do anything to -"

She slapped me,with a force that pushed me to the floor.I held my cheek with my palm,I felt pain,she had bruised my cheek.

"No one messes with me,i swear you would regret ever hurting my grandma."

With that.she stormed out.

I stared confused as my colleagues rushed to me.

"How dare you hurt a vvip client! Not just anyone but Mrs Voss?"

He barked as he walked towards me. I got up,still holding my check,the slap still echoing in my head.

"I didn't do anything to her. I only served her drinks, " I spoke calmly.

"you are fired"

"Sir,please, I have no money,I really need money!" I begged as I rushed after him.

"Amelia is in trouble. How dare she hurt the woman Roman Voss would kill for?" My colleagues murmured.

I didn't know who Mrs Voss was. Is she some billionaire or something? And who was Roman Voss?

As I walked towards the gate,I felt lightheaded.

The slap from before had thrown me off guard.A car stopped beside me and before I could move away from it,I was dragged into it by a man,he was twice my height and had a strong hold on my hand.

I screamed with all my strength,my colleague and people could hear me,they watched as he threw me in,why was no one saving me? I felt powerless as I felt a handkerchief covering my nose.Slowly,I lost consciousness.

When i opened my eyes,ice water soaked through my clothes,i shot upright,shivering where was I?

I looked around,blood was on the walls and the ground felt col. Slowly, i raised my head,was this a freaking basement?

I held my breath and ,I wanted to vomit.This place stinks of blood.

The same guy who dragged me in the car was glaring at me.

"Why am I here? Please let me,I dont know you!"

I spoke,holding back tears that threatened to fall.

He ignored me and moved towards the door.

"Please, I am cold,can I get a blanket?" I begged as I shivered.

"If I were you,I would keep shut and reserve my strength"

I held my breathe,what was he talking about?

Before i could say I word,the door opened.

Someone had entered.

Everywhere went cold. I looked towards the door.

I held my breath as I stared at him.

He was glaring at me,but damn,this man looked hot,the suit he wore made him look untouchable, he smelt of old money. I realised who he was,ROMAN VOSS.

My heart beat quickened as he walked towards me,I stared at him.

His hands were clenched into a fist,he had a murderous glint in his eyes.

I shifted backward,he looked scary. But familiar.i couldn't place it but I know I have seen him before.Where?

"You dare touch my grandma?" The word threw me off balance,I had totally forgotten what happened earlier today.

"I.. I...swear I didn't hurt her,sir.i-"

"I did not ask you to speak!" His deep voice echoed in the empty basement,i shifted backward as he stepped forward,I looked down to see that I was chained.

"Who sent you?"
