Victorian Chambermaid

Bagaimana jika kamu tiba tiba masuk ke dalam dunia fantasi yang dipenuhi dengan sihir, monster, dan pria tampan? Begitu lah yang dirasakan oleh Bella! Setelah diputus oleh pacarnya di hari jadi mereka yang ke lima, Bella yang sedang kalut tidak sadar berada di tengah jalan, dan tertabrak truk. Selanjutnya yang ia tau, Bella berada di sebuah ruangan bergaya victorian classic, dan ia sudah berubah menjadi seorang wanita cantik berambut emas dan bola mata berwarna hijau emerald. Ia ternyata memasuki tubuh,Bella Eleanor Gracia, putri pertama dari Duke Gracia, yang sering dijuluki the ghost princess, atau putri hantu karena keberadaannya yang tidak pernah dianggap oleh siapa pun, termasuk ayah ibunya, duke dan duchess Gracia. Bukan karena sebab, Bella Eleanor dianggap memalukan bagi keluarga Gracia, yang terdiri dari keluarga dengan kemampuan sihir yang tinggi. Bella, hingga umurnya sekarang, 17 tahun, hanya bisa menggunakan sihir setara anak kecil. Tapi tentu saja Bella tidak akan menyerah, ia yang sekarang bukanlah Bella Eleanor yang pemalu dan penakut. Walaupun dengan kapasitas sihir yang rendah, ia akan berusaha bertahan hidup!

` It was a cool, breezy and stormy night. Rain came down in sheets, as a dark figure stood before a house. The house was pretty ordinary, white with blue shutters; it didn't have more than two bedrooms. It looked like a cozy little family home with flowers and shrubs lining the front lawn, and then the smell from the pellet stove smoke invaded his nostrils. He took a deep breath and pulled out an old, rusted compass from his black trench coat. It looked like it could have been from the 14th century, the small, brass disc was dented and the Victorian designs were faded. He studied it as it pointed east, towards the small house. He looked the house over carefully, looking for the best entrance, before proceeding towards the side to gaze into the window. Inside you can see the small kitchen; the brand new, all black appliances off set the linoleum floor. Cabinets filled almost every wall of the small space that made it look more crowded than it should have been. The kitchen opened to a larger room which seemed to be used as a living room and a dining room all at once. The whole house looked crowded, with the furniture in the living room all touching except for a small gap to walk through and the dining room was so close to the sofa, it could have been sitting on it. He stepped back into the shadows as he watched a young couple enter the kitchen. The wife was tall and slender, had strawberry blond hair formed around her face accenting her jaw-line and her deep blue eyes stopped your heart as you got lost in them. Her fair complexion was silky and complimented her soft face.

So there I was, stuck in this dark Victorian mansion for a whole freaking century, thinking I'd never get out. Then, out of nowhere, these two gorgeous girls swoop in and rescue me! I couldn't believe it, and we instantly hit it off. They showed me a whole new world I'd only ever imagined, and I was all about living a normal human life.   But just when I thought things were looking up, this vampire named Vivaldi pops up out of thin air, grinning like a possessed Jack-o'-lantern. I mean, a name like Vivaldi is bound to give you the creeps, right? He claimed I had some ancient first blood running through my veins and demanded that I sign some crazy blood contract with him—the kind of deal that comes with some seriously freaky consequences.   Vivaldi was trying to sell me the idea that this blood contract was his only lifeline, the only way to save his skin from something worse than death. But I wasn't some clueless newborn vamp; I knew better than to just dive into something as serious as a blood contract. Those things come with some heavy consequences, and I wasn't about to sign up for that without a second thought.   The problem was, if I didn't go along with his messed-up plan, he promised to make my friends' lives a living hell—the very people I'd started to care about. I was trapped between a rock and a hard place. If I decided to team up with Vivaldi, I'd be keeping him around, which is far from ideal. But if I refused, my friends and the whole town of Shadowvale would be in serious danger.    It felt like I was caught in this impossible situation, like I was trying to choose between two rotten apples.
