Barely Survived Novels & Stories

Only the faint rhythm of her breathing and the hum of the machines proved she was still alive. According to the doctors, her survival was nothing short of a miracle. The Range Rover she and Eleanora Zobel had been riding in exploded after crashing into a highway barrier in Tagaytay.

CHAPTER 163 – THE LIFE WE NEVER PLANNED “Nobody taught us how to live.” “Only how to survive.” The realization hit me harder than any bullet ever had. Not because it was new. Because it was true. For years, survival had been the only language I understood. Run. Fight. Hide. Adapt. Endure. Everything else had always felt temporary. Even happiness. Especially happiness. Because happiness was fragile. And fragile things never survived in our world. Yet somehow, standing inside one of Torren Villanueva’s private estates overlooking an endless stretch of ocean, I found myself staring at proof that shattered everything I thought I knew about him.

Wala siyang maalala! Hindi ko alam kung maganda ba o hindi ang pangyayaring 'to, but knowing this—I can survive this situation.

My mouth was dry, throat raw, but I forced the words out anyway. “We stay alive.” Not a promise. Just a direction. Just... enough.

I woke up feeling better than the usual despite of tiredness. Sadness slowly build within me knowing no one's waiting for me to wake up. I'm about to speak when I felt something in my mouth and I noticed it was a tube that is connected on my chest. I survived! Thanks, God for the second life.

Asik nito. "The patient break down. Ginawa namin ang lahat ngunit hindi na lumaban ang pasyente. Lahat tayo ay hiram lamang ang buhay ngunit nag-iba lang ay hindi tayo pare-parehong ibabalik iyon. Hindi kami nagkulang ngunit pasensya na. He's survivor a long time ago but now he chose not to be. Condolence." Pinal sambit nito.

"Tawagan na natin ang mga magulang nito at humingi tayo ng 2o milyon. Siguradong ibibigay agad nila 'yon kapalit ng anak nila," I resisted giving up in spite of the suffering and terror. I almost lost my consciousness. I am aware that I must maintain my resolve and not allow them to break me. Even if my body was damaged, I held on to my sense of self. I was covered with blood, too much blood. I get lashes from them. I really thought I'm going to die and honestly I was ready at that moment. That's why I survived. I don't know how. I just remembered my parents having a transaction with those shits.

"𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑑, 𝑑𝑖𝑑𝑛'𝑡’t 𝑦𝑜𝑢?" Tumahimik ako. "𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔. 𝐷𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑙𝑦. 𝐸𝑥𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑠 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑."
