"They say promises are meant to be broken, well, I don't agree with that. The person who have broken the promise is the one who is probably broke, and it's not the promise itself."

Nestor hesitated, his thumb hovering over the power button, unsure if he could bear to relive those memories again or if it would only deepen the ache in his heart. But then, as if drawn by an invisible force, he pressed the button and watched as the screen lit up, revealing a message from Carmela. It was a simple “I miss you too, Nestor,” accompanied by a heart emoji, but it was enough to bring a glimmer of hope to Nestor’s eyes. He read and reread her message, savoring each word as if they were precious gems. The ache in his heart lessened, replaced by a renewed sense of determination to protect their love, no matter the obstacles that stood in their way.

“I’m trying.” “Tapos?” tanong niya. I won't say bad—” “Promise?” tanong niya. “Oo,” sagot ko. Saglit siyang tumahimik. “Matutulog na ako sa kama.”

"Yes!

“Promise me muna.” "Okay?" My statement sounded like a question. "I won't tell anyone....now please, say it!" sabi ko pa, now getting curious.

“It’s not a proposal ring, but it is a promise ring. This is the promise that I will give, na hanggang buhay ikaw lang, Kiara.”

Upon hearing his words I asked myself 'should I believe him? [We settled your engagement, Niccolo. Just talk to your fiancé.]

I can't promise you na hindi kita masasaktan. But one thing I'm sure of myself and swear till my last breath... that I will love you forever. Only you and will never ever trade you to anyone else.

I Vow to Be Your Best Friend... I Promise to be Truthful... I Vow to Celebrate Us... I Promise to Communicate... I Vow to Support You Always... I Promise to Make You My First Priority... I Vow to Be Faithful... I Promise to Always Make Time for You... Today I commit my life to you. I give you my heart to love fully and to protect fiercely. I give you my hand to hold tightly and to make you feel safe. I give you all me for today it's no longer I, it's no longer you…it's just we.
