Reminisce In Sentence Novels & Stories

It’s almost like we’re just reminiscing about the past. It’s not an issue to me at all. Those places we go to are usually quiet so I have no problems with it. The silence is not making the atmosphere awkward at all. Instead, we get busy reminiscing that we don’t even talk to each other anymore. She would usually speak just to remind me that in that place, we did something stupid there, we did something memorable here and stuffs. I just listen to her because all of the things she’s mentioning are still intact in my head. I can remember it well as if it just happened yesterday. I would hear her laugh softly every time. And that’s making my heart melt.

Masayang bubuo ng another memories together like we use to do."

Those places felt surreal. “I wonder what will happen after this,” wika niya na siyang bumasag sa kanilang katahimikan. “What do you mean?” “You know, kapag nakaalala na ako.” Tipid siyang ngumiti sa kawalan. “I’m always wondering about the memories I lost. Something is forgotten that I know once I’ll remember, I will regret it my whole life.”

It was like a film reel in my mind as well. I closed my eyes and started to take in everything. The laughter, the arguments, the stolen kisses, the sex we had in this car—they all flashed back in my mind. I know I always reminisce about the past, but why should I reminisce about it when I am with him? Parang gusto ko na lang umiyak. My emotions, I could tell that everhthing inside me is in turmoil.

Nakatingin lang ako sa pintuan niya habang may inaalala. “I still don’t remember what happened last last night,” nakangusong saad ko kaya naman mahina itong tumawa. “Too bad for you.” Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. “Paano ba ako napunta sa kwarto mo? Can you help me recall it? Maybe answering my questions will do.” Kumibit-balikat ito. “Why recall it when we can do it again?”

Memories, like fragments of a forgotten melody, weave the tapestry of our lives. They are the elusive ghosts of our yesterdays, lingering in the recesses of our minds, waiting to be summoned by a scent, a song, or a fleeting glimpse of the familiar. The past, with its palette of emotions and experiences, shapes who we are today. In the quiet moments, we find ourselves drifting back, tracing the contours of our memories like fingers on an old, weathered photograph.

“Missed what?” “This,” sagot niya, bahagyang kumaway sa hangin sa pagitan namin. “You being like this.” “If you’re here to reminisce,” sabi ko, mas naging malamig ang tono ko, “you’re wasting both of our time.”

“Is there anything I can do to support her through this process? I just want to see her smile again and have a chance at a normal life.” “Your presence and support are crucial. Reconnecting with loved ones can often serve as a catalyst for memory recall. Encourage her to engage in activities she enjoyed before, and perhaps spend time looking at old photographs or talking about shared experiences. It might help trigger some of those present memories.”
