Ayaw kong masira ang napakamadamdaming tagpo ng maglola at maglolo. Marami pang oras para ipaliwanag at isaysay ko sa kanila ang mga nagganap sa aking buhay sa nakalipas na isang taon. Ako rin naman ay maraming katanungan at pagtataka sa aking isipan.

I got a lot of realization when I was in the hospital. Everyone has to grow with time. At twelve, I thought life is all about playing and conquering the world. At eighteen, I thought I figure it all out. At twenty-one, I was slapped by reality so hard. And now, at twenty-three, I still feel lost. Well, that summarizes what happened to my life. I clasp my hands over my chest. At this age, I have little understanding of life but who cares? At least I decided to live or at least tried to live—the way I want. And that is to annoy all my cousins. Bakit naman hindi? Tutal, wala rin naman akong magawa sa buhay ko.

Habang naglalakad siya papunta sa community center, hindi niya napigilang makita ang sariling reflection sa salamin ng saradong tindahan. “She looks tired,” bulong niya sa sarili. “But she’s trying.” At iyon ang pinaka-importante sa kanya ngayon she’s trying.
