Masuk“Mbak ... aku hamil anak suamimu.” “Aku nggak bakal ngelepasin kamu, kecuali ... kamu mati.”

“You're pregnant with twins, congratulations!”
The healer’s words struck me harder than a blow. For a moment, I thought I had misheard it. My breath caught, and my hands trembled as I clutched the small packet of vitamins she placed in my palm.
Twins.
The word repeated in my head like a prayer, like a miracle too fragile to believe.
For years, I had carried only empty hopes and silent prayers. Month after month, I had watched my dreams crumble, bleeding away with every failed attempt. Aiden had wanted heirs. I had wanted love. And somewhere between those desires, I had begun to lose myself.
But now—now life stirred within me. Not one, but two lives.
Maybe this would finally fix everything between Aiden and me.
“Thank you,” I whispered.
The healer’s lips curved into a warm smile, though her eyes lingered on me with hesitation.
“Where’s Alpha Aiden? He should be here with you.”
The question struck a sore spot, as sharp as any blade. I forced a smile that did not reach my eyes.
“He’s busy. Pack matters, as usually,” I answered quickly, as if saying the words fast enough might stop them from hurting.
The healer nodded, her eyes were full of pity but heavy, and I couldn’t bear it. I slipped out before she could say more, clutching the vitamins to my chest like they were proof that this moment was real.
The autumn air hit my face as I stepped into the courtyard, brisk and cool, carrying the scent of pine and damp earth. Warriors filled the training grounds, their grunts and the metallic clash of sparring echoing around me. For once, I barely noticed. My thoughts raced faster than my feet.
I had to find Aiden. I had to tell him this great news!
“Where’s the Alpha?” I asked one of the warriors, breathless.
He glanced at me, confused by my urgency. “Pack house, Luna. He’s taking care of something.”
“Okay, thank you!”
I didn’t wait for more. My heart hammered as I dashed across the grounds, my imagination running ahead of me. I pictured Aiden’s face when I told him, the way his eyes would light up, the way he would hold me like he used to, before duty and distance had built walls between us.
The pack house loomed ahead, its oak doors carved with the sigil of our line.
“Luna!”
I stopped in my tracks when someone called my name. It was Hunter, our Beta.
“What are you doing here?” he asked.
“I’m looking for Aiden. He’s here, right?”
His eyes widened, as if he knew what I was about to do would cause panic.
“Oh, he’s actually busy. I think you should wait.”
My brows furrowed, sensing that he didn’t want me to see Aiden.
“I have important news to tell him. Don’t worry, I’ll handle him!”
“But—”
My hand shook as I pushed the door open. The hinges creaked, breaking the silence inside.
“Aiden? Are you here? I have to tell you something!”
My voice echoed down the hallway. For a moment, there was no answer.
“Luna, please—” Hunter tried to reach me, but we both stopped in our tracks when we heard something.
“Alpha…”
The voice was soft, trembling and intimate. And it’s not mine.
I froze.
My breath hitched as I followed the sound, my steps were unsteady. I turned a corner and the world collapsed beneath me.
There he was. My mate. My husband. The man whose children now grew inside me.
He wasn’t alone.
His arms were around her, holding her tightly, protectively, as though she was his entire world.
Olivia…
W-When did she return?
My lungs locked. The vitamins dug into my palm as I clutched them until the edges bit into my skin.
Olivia whimpered, clinging to him like a drowning woman. “Please, Alpha… I need you. I’m pregnant…”
The words struck like a spear to my chest.
Pregnant…?
My knees nearly buckled, but I forced myself to stand. My ears rang, my vision blurred, but I managed to whisper, "What’s going on here?!"
Aiden stiffened, his head jerking toward me. His eyes widened, caught between shock and guilt, but his arms never loosened from around her.
“What is she doing here?! Didn’t I tell you to stop her if you saw her coming here?!” Aiden snapped, glancing at his Beta.
“Alpha, I’m so sorry…” Hunter said from behind me. “She was too—”
“Out,” Aiden ordered, and Hunter couldn’t do anything but obey.
I stepped forward, though every fiber of me screamed to turn and run. My legs moved heavy, as though walking through a quicksand.
“Aiden… I have to tell you something—”
Before the words could escape, Olivia cried out, collapsing in pain.
“Olivia!” Aiden’s voice cracked, raw with panic. He caught her, sweeping her into his arms.
I reached out instinctively, desperate to help, but he recoiled from me as if my touch were poison.
“I’ve got her!” His words were sharp, cutting me down to nothing.
“I—I just want to help—”
“I said I can handle this!”
Each syllable struck like a blade, leaving me bleeding in the silence that followed. And then he was gone, rushing out with her pressed close to his chest, leaving me standing alone in the hollow space of our home.
The bond between us throbbed painfully, a living cord pulling me toward a man who no longer saw me.
We had been mated for years. Once, I thought that meant forever. But forever had turned into excuses.
“Not now, Aria. I’m busy!”
“Later. I have duties!”
“Stop bothering me with this!”
Over and over, those words had carved themselves into me, until I began to believe I wasn’t worth his time. Except at night, when he took what he needed, using me in hopes of creating the family he wanted. And I had let him, praying that maybe, just maybe, he’d find his way back to me.
“A-Aiden, you’re hurting me!” he said as he humped inside me.
“I don’t fucking care…” he growled then shoot his seeds inside me even when I’m already sore from the pain he’s causing.
But each time, the emptiness grew. Miscarriages. Silence. Loneliness.
And now, when I finally carried his children, he was holding another woman like she was the treasure of his life.
Hours later, I had waited. I had set food on the table, let it grow cold, sat by the window until the shadows stretched long.
He came in, shoulders heavy, his scent filling the room with pine and musk. Once, that scent meant safety. Tonight, it only burned.
“You’re back,” I said, forcing brightness into my tone.
But he only brushed past me, “I won’t be staying. Olivia needs me.”
My heart cracked. “B-But Aiden, I have something important to—”
“Not tonight, Aria.” His voice was tired.
“Aiden—”
“Enough!” The roar in his tone silenced me. “You don’t understand. Olivia has nothing! She needs me more than you!”
The words I longed to speak lodged in my throat.
‘I’m pregnant…’ They cut like glass, tearing me from the inside, but I couldn’t force them past my lips.
He grabbed his jacket, already turning for the door. “I’ll be back later.”
The sound of the door shutting was louder than any slam.
When morning came, I woke to hushed voices. I padded toward the living room, dread tightening in my chest. And there they were, Aiden and Olivia, with bags at their feet.
“W-what is this?” My voice cracked. I have a bad feeling about this but I need to hear it from him.
Aiden looked at me as though I were nothing more than a stranger. “Olivia’s moving in with us.”
“I-In our home?”
“She needs care.”
The final blow landed with a cold finality.
“You’ll sleep in the guest room.”
For a moment, I couldn’t breathe. Tears blurred my vision, spilling before I could stop them. “Y-You expect me to just step aside?”
“She’s pregnant and alone,” he said, his tone flat and dismissive. “You wouldn’t understand.”
My hand flew to my stomach. Our children. His children. And yet, he couldn’t see me. Couldn’t see us.
Olivia clung to his arm, her eyes shimmering with gratitude. “Thank you, Alpha."
Aku tersenyum kaku, berusaha menenangkan detak jantungku. "Aku baik, Pak Adrian. Dan ... suamiku tidak ikut. Sebenarnya, aku di sini bekerja, Pak Adrian," jelasku singkat.Adrian mengernyitkan dahinya. "Bekerja? Kamu kembali bekerja?
Kamu langsung ikut Bu Ratih dulu, belajar cara kerjanya gimana.”Aku terbelalak, nyaris tak pe
“Nak … kamu kenapa? Kok nangis di sini?” suara lembut seorang ibu paruh baya menembus kabut pilu di hatiku.Aku menoleh pelan ke arahnya, sementara tanganku buru-buru mengusap pipi dan menyeka air mata secepat mungkin. “Saya … baru aja diusir, Bu …” jawabku dengan nada tercekat. “Ak-akta cerai,” ta
