She's Her Mother's Daughter **Meeting Seth**

         Rose's P O V

I opened my eyes and smiled to myself. Aw today is gonna be awesome.

I can't believe I was given scholarship into the most beautiful and wealthy school around here.

I got up from bed immediately and brushed my teeth then took my bath.

I rushed to my parents and kissed them good morning.

"My dear how are you?" Dad asked and I replied with a "fine."

He was so happy and proud that his daughter was given scholarship, I mean not everyone gets that opportunity. 

"How are you my Rose?" Mom asked and I beamed smiles at her.

"Am good mother," I replied and she stroke my hair.

"Alright take some bread and tea so I can take you there for registration," she instructed and I nodded happily then went to munch on my breakfast.

"Good morning mom and dad. Morning sis." Junior my younger brother came out of his room and greeted us. 

"Morning!" I replied and gulped down a large quantity of tea. I stood up once I've done that and went to tell my mom who was already waiting for me that am done. 

"Alright dear, let's go," she informed and I followed her till we got to the roadside. We boarded a cab which took us to the school tho the school wasn't so far from our house.

We got to the school and did the necessary things and my mother left me afterwards for home.

I stood at a point and admired the beauty of the school and then started heading to my class.

My name is Rose and am 16 years old, quite intelligent and really really pretty - at least that's what people says. 

I got to my class and took an empty sit.

Other students kept staring at me.

"Hi," I heard and turned to the direction of the voice to find a very cute guy extending his hand to me.

"Hello," I smiled and took his hand.

"Em...morning, you're new huh?"

"Yes, my first day and am so excited."

He smiled and looked at me. "I can imagine." He replied and let go of my hand.

"So what's your name pretty?" He asked and took a sit beside me.

"My name is Rose," I replied with a big smile.

"Wow! Pretty name for a pretty girl like you," he remarked making my stomach flutter.

"Well, I'm Seth and I'm your class mate." He informed and I shook my head.

"I'll show you around when its lunch time alright" He proposed, I nodded my head in agreement. I mean, that will be great.

Few other students greeted me warmly, they also complimented my beauty.

I kept on smiling at them until the first period where I introduced myself to the whole class.

Seth came up to me immediately the bell went off. He offered to show me around and I followed him willingly.

He also introduced me to his best friend who's name is Marcus. He's also friendly like Seth.

He later bought me a drink with sausage but I rejected it.

He pressed harder explaining to me that it was a welcome snack and I accepted and thanked him.

Hours later the school came to an end, I left school and walked home smiling like I've made it in life.

It was fun, real fun, I thought to myself.

I got home and explained my experience to my parents and they were also happy.

I freshened up and ate my lunch then took the usual delivery to go deliver in the market.

My mother sells melon, so every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I take them to the market to deliver it to her neighbor who helps in selling it. 

 I carried the bag which was a little heavy and made my way to the market but stopped along the way when I heard my name.

"Rose!" I heard and turned to see Seth my new friend running towards me with a ball in this hand.

"Hey!" I waved at him when he finally got to where I stood.

He was really sweating. 

"What are you doing here? "We both asked each other at the same time. I laughed while he chuckled and asked me again.

"What are you doing here?" 

"Well these is my neighborhood and I'm going to deliver this melon to a neighbor to help us sell it," I answered and he nodded in understanding.

"What about you?" I inquired.

"Well, I came here to play football," he replied showing me the ball he held.

"Oh, I can see that," I smiled and we both laughed.

His friend Marcus ran up to us.

"Hey Rose! What are you doing here?" He asked immediately he got to us.

"Going to the market," I answered.

"So you live around?" He asked again and I nodded.

"Em..maybe I should escort you to the market," Seth suggested and collected the bag of melons from me.

"No! No! Of course not!" I disagreed.

"Why? But I want to," he insisted.

"No, you're busy over there." I replied and pointed towards the field they both ran out from. 

"Well, I'm tired from playing already, wanna do something else," he insisted and passed the ball to Marcus who in turn left with the ball.

"Um...if you say so then," I gave in, he smiled victoriously then followed me.

"So you pass by this route everyday then?"

"No, not everyday. What about you? Do you play ball here everyday?" I asked and he nodded.

"So when and when do you pass by?" He questioned.

"Monday, Wednesday and Fridays." I replied him.

"Oh Ok, I guess I'll be seeing you after schools on those day then," he reasoned and I laughed.

"Are you serious?" I asked, he nodded.

"So how old are you?" I asked.

"I'm 17," he replied.

"You?"

"16," I supplied.

"I can see that you're really intelligent to have gained admission into my father's school," he said and I paused.

"Wait, your father owns the school?" I asked and he nodded with a smile.

"Wait, really?" I exclaimed.

"That means you're sir Lukas only son?" I asked and he nodded again.

"Oh my! I can't believe I've been talking to you so friendly. I mean everyone here knows your father is the richest man." I rushed my words but he only smiled.

"Let's continue, Rose," he said and I realized we have been standing there for a while.

"I can't just believe it. I thought as sir Lukas only son, you'll be very proud and rude, who knows you're this nice," I exclaimed again.

"I'm rude to most people you know," he said.

"That's a lie! Then what about me?"

"I don't really know why I'm being really nice to you, maybe cause you're really pretty," he responded and I didn't realize when I blushed really hard. 

"You too, you're quite handsome you know." I replied and he chuckled.

"Well not as you." He said and we both laughed.

He escorted me back after I had delivered it and I got back home smiling.

       Seth's P O V

I walked her back to the field and watched her leave.

She's extremely pretty and nice, I thought to myself.

"Hey! Seth! You've been staring at her for long, she's gone, man." Marcus called shaking me.

"Alright let's go, its late already." I said and we left the field, we walked to a point before patting ways.

Marcus is the only friend I have, maybe course he has my character.

I got home and greeted mom and dad. I had dinner with them before retiring to my room.  

I laid down on the bed and remembered Rose.

Aw she's really beautiful and the name rose perfectly fit her.

I closed my eyes and her image kept flashing into my head.

Oh! I can't get her off my mind, I need to talk to someone about this.

I picked up my phone and dialed Marcus number hoping he'll still be awake.

He picked it up at the third ring.

"Hey man! I want to tell you something." I voiced out into the phone.

"What Seth?"

"I can't stop thinking about Rose, the new girl." I confessed.

"You like her then." He informed.

"Yes I think I really like her, she's nice, pretty, and intelligent." I said and I heard him sigh.

"Who wouldn't like her? Maybe you should talk to her tomorrow at school about it." He suggested, I nodded even tho he couldn't see me.

"I will. Thanks for your help. Goodnight." I concluded and ended the call. I smiled to myself afterwards.

I woke up really early the next day and prepared for school.

I will be going earlier today because she told me yesterday that she'll come to school early.

I got to school, everywhere was a bit dark but I surprisedly met her in the class room studying. 

"Oh my days! This early?"

"You're the only one here! Aren't you scared?" I asked immediately I got to her.

"Of course not," she smiled.

I sat down and faced her. I kept staring at her, she looked up at me surprised.

"Hmm what's that look for?" She asked and I cleared my throat. 

"Um..Rose," I called and she continued staring at me.

"I...yesterday when you left I... couldn't stop thinking about you." I blurted out, she raised her brows but kept quiet.

"I swears that I've never missed anyone the way I missed you, I kept thinking about you and that's the reason I came early to see you," I added and she smiled. 

"That much?" She asked and I nodded.

She fiddled with her nails for a while.

"The truth is I also missed you a lot, I don't know why tho, I don't know why I can't stop thinking about you," she cooed.

"Really? You did?" I asked getting really excited.

"Yes?" She replied a bit shy.

"Well, that's because you like me and I like you too," I revealed to her, she pouted her lips.

"Really?" She asked.

"So you mean I like you and that's why I couldn't stop thinking about you?" She asked and I nodded. 

We stared at each other for a while and ended up smiling.
