Chapter 1

Irene’s POV

“You think you can just walk around this house like you own the damn place now?” my stepfather barked, slamming his hand on the kitchen counter.

His face was bright red. “Ever since you turned twenty-two you’ve been nothing but disrespectful and reckless. Parading around in those tiny clothes, talking back like I didn’t raise you.”

I stood there with my arms crossed under my chest, pushing my t!ts up.

My blood was boiling. “Raise me? You barely notice I’m alive unless it inconveniences you. Maybe if you weren’t so busy sucking up to your business partners every night, you’d see I’m not a little girl anymore.”

He opened his mouth to snap back when the doorbell rang. My heart did this stupid flip because I already knew who it was.

Victor. My stepdad’s business partner. The man I’d been having filthy dreams about for the past year.

“Get the door,” my stepfather muttered, still glaring at me.

I turned on my heel, my ass swaying in my shorts as I walked.

When I pulled the door open, Victor stood there in his crisp black shirt, sleeves rolled up to show those thick forearms, his dark eyes locking on mine instantly.

He looked bigger than I remembered. That quiet intensity he had always made my thighs press together.

“Evening, Irene,” he said, voice low and smooth.

“Victor,” I answered, biting the inside of my lip. I held the door wider, letting him brush past me.

Dinner was torture. Stepdad kept talking business across the table but Victor’s eyes kept sliding to me.

Though they weren’t too obvious, just lingering a second too long on my mouth, then my throat, then the way my t!ts moved when I reached for the water.

Every time our eyes met, I felt a warm pulse between my legs. I was already getting wet.

He looked like he was barely holding it together.

I was soaked. I tied the belt loosely so the robe fell open a bit at the top.

I crept downstairs quietly. The house was dim, only the study light showing under the door. Stepdad must have left for a moment because I heard Victor’s deep voice on a call, then silence. I didn’t knock. I just turned the handle and stepped inside.

Victor sat behind the big oak desk, tie loosened, top buttons of his shirt open. When he looked up and saw me, everything in him went still.

His eyes moved slowly down my body. His throat moved as he swallowed.

“Irene,” he said, voice rougher than before. “What are you doing down here?”

I closed the door behind me and leaned against it, letting the robe slip a little higher on my thighs. “Couldn’t sleep. Still angry at him. Figured I’d come see if the meeting was over.”

His gaze dropped to where the silk parted over my chest. I wasn’t even trying to hide how hard my n!pples were poking against the thin fabric.

I was breathing fast and could feel myself dripping.

Victor stood up slowly. He was hard. I could see it pressing against his slacks. F*ck. He was big. My mouth watered thinking about it.

“You shouldn’t be in here dressed like that,” he muttered, but he didn’t look away. His eyes were dark, pupils blown wide. “Not with me.”

“Why not?” I stepped closer. My p*ssy clenched just from the way he looked at me. “It’s just a robe, Victor. I’m not a kid anymore. You keep looking at me like you know that.”

He dragged a hand over his mouth, jaw tight. I could see him fighting himself. His fingers kept flexing. “You have no f*cking idea how dangerous this is.”

Instead I stopped just in front of the desk, close enough that if he reached out he could touch me.
